EFT Variations and Spin-Offs
EFT has many flavors and variations. Many individual practitioners have created their own methods of using EFT, often creating a brand new name for a process that is still in most respects EFT. Still others continue to call their process EFT but perform it in a way that is different from the standard EFT process.
That these many flavors and variations exist is perfectly fine. The founder of EFT, Gary Craig, has shown himself to be generous and more interested in getting the word out about EFT than making it a homogenous entity where people are not allowed to innovate.
EFT is actually an outgrowth of an earlier form of meridian therapy called TFT or "Thought Field Therapy." EFT simplified the TFT process by creating a "one-size-fits-all" procedure that works on the majority of cases.
Since acupuncture, the basis of EFT, has been around for thousands of years, many acupressure systems also exist that frequently get mentioned when EFT comes up.
Among the variations you may hear of:
TFT - Thought Field Therapy (precursor to EFT)
BSFF - Be Set Free Fast
The "Choices" method of EFT
EFH/EF&H - Emotional Freedom & Healing
TAT - Tapas Acupressure Technique
The Tapping Cure
and more.
All of these methods are safe, effective, and free of the nasty side effects pharmaceuticals have.
